WELCOME

We are constantly building our web site, as we're working on it, we’d like to give you a quick overview and invite you to join us at our upcoming demos and workshops.

The Oriental Brush Artists Guild is an organization of approximately 50 members whose mission is to:

• Promote the study of traditional and modern Oriental brush painting techniques

• Support the practicing and beginning artist

• Explore the history of Oriental brush painting

• Encourage public awareness and appreciation of the art and cultures of Asia

The Guild used to meet the third Tuesday of each month
spring and fall, at 11:a.m at
the Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden
28 Deveau Road North Salem, NY (914) 669-5033

We are now trying Virtual Workshops, please go to our Event page for info.

After each meeting there was a free brush painting demonstration by an experienced Oriental brush artist using ink and watercolor.

In the afternoon, those who wished stayed for a fee-based workshop.

Additional workshops were sometimes offered on other days as well. To see our present schedule of workshops please go to the EVENTS page.

Members were invited to exhibit their art in a group show annually
at the Hammond Museum Gallery. We hope to exhibit again when safe.

The Guild welcomes new members, beginners and experienced artists alike.

If you decide to join, the annual membership is $50.
